“It’s not stress that kills us – it’s our reaction to it” ~ Hans Seyle
.
Did you know that it is estimated that
approximately 70% of dieases are caused by Stress?(1)
So many of us don't even realise how 'stressed' we are as this has just become a
'normal' way of going through our daily llives. Signs of feeling stressed include thoughts of not coping, feeling overwhelmed, not having much patience & perhaps getting angry for no reason
at all. Sometimes we feel stuck & unable to find a solution. This is because when we get stressed, we are activating our body's natural survival response of FIGHT, FLIGHT or
FREEZE.
But it stress silenty continues to impact on our overall health and wellbeing, at some stage in our life, we may need to look at how to manage this our stress response.
this session is about helping you to understand how your body responds to stress using the General Adaptation
Syndrome (GAS) model developed by Dr. Hans Seyle (known as the
Father of Stress)
Once your stress response triggers, patterns and instinctive behaviours are consciously identified, we will be able to re-adjust these so they can be minimised or resolved for your optimal wellbeing.
