Jikiden Reiki is the authentic form of this Japanese energy healing technique.  Jikiden means "directly taught" in Japanese, which refers to the fact that it has not been influenced by the West and the methods and understanding that are passed on are the same as the original Reiki system. It has a history that goes back almost as far as the discovery of Reiki by Mikao Usui in approx. 1915 but has only been available outside of Japan since 2003. 

Jikiden Reiki has a significant impact on people that experience it.  In fact, the vast majority of people did not believe in Reiki before trying it.  However, many people who try it are so intrigued by the experience that they want to go on to learn it for themselves.  It is not unusual for people to get some form of benefit from their first experience, however most problems may require a few sessions, with chronic illnesses generally requiring several.

I am qualified as a Jikiden Reiki Shoden and Okuden Practitioner having been personally trained in Jikiden Reiki by Master Tadao Yamaguchi, the head of the Jikiden Reiki Institute based in Kyoto, Japan.  He has over 50 years experience in traditional Japanese Reiki and comes from a family who has over 75 years experience of helping people with this Reiki.  He received this special knowledge from his mother, Chiyoko Yamaguchi.  She trained directly with Hayashi-Sensei, who was the student of Mikao Usui, the original founder of Reiki.
